This is what I bought the other day, Kaki and chestnuts
I’m typing this while Kiwi, the tiny kitten I rescued with his sister Luna, is sleeping on my lap. His mother, Piccola, has abandoned him (I guess she is pregnanat which is too bad for me. How could I feed all of them?)Kiwi thinks I’m his mother now and after eating he starts crying and following me until I scoop him up and put him on my lap, then he starts sucking on my fingers and goes to sleep. Amazing to say the least. Now I realize that my hasty move from that place was meant for me, so that I rescue these little ones. It is freezing outside and they have no place to sleep in, so every evening I will make a makeshift place for them, lined with my warm sweaters and a hot water bottle, hehe. The five of them, Piccola, Arancione, Kiwi, Luna and Bello would pile into the tiny warm place and their snoring would resonant in my tiny place. Bello is so beautiful; he is a mini tiger, muscular and handsome beyond words. I think he has fallen in love with me and thinks I'm a cat because after eating he would be rolling on my doormat, purring, looking at me with his huge moist eyes, licking my fingers and hand, just won't let go of me. Araancione is like a typical teenage boy, full of life and mischief; he would initiate any play or fight; he would be up for any fun any time day or night. He is just adorable and I will post photos of them all soon.
I wish I can keep them inside but it is impossible as my landlady would kick me out. Oh my God, she is a weird character; she is obsessed with cleaning, so she, who is 76 and her 83-year-old husband would be cleaning from 8am till 8pm! She is a fierce woman and I suspect she is gay; not that I have any problem with gay people (one of my best friends is gay and her partner is a friend of mine too. They are wonderful people, no prejudice here) The reason I think she is gay is that the other day she came to my door and said: I’m too affectionate person and I like people a lot. Can I kiss you? Honestly, I nearly fainted as at first I thought I misunderstood her but no I was right. So I gave her my right cheek to kiss. It is very unusual of someone from this region to say so, as people here are very reserved and not friendly. So, that made me thinking, hehe.
Anyway, I found another stunningly beautiful place in another stunningly beautiful little village and I will be moving there in April. The place is an apartment with two bedrooms and an open-plan kitchen with a fireplace. The beautiful thing is it is on top of a mountain and my windows are facing an amazing panorama, no other house blocking the view. When I first saw the place, it reminded me of fairy tale and princesses and snow and blazing fires and roasting chestnuts and storytelling and an amazing world. I'm so excited to say the least and definitely will be taking Kiwi and I hope all the five of them, if they let me.
