Our Days!

On the farm there are more than 50 laurel trees (bay leaves) and I wonder if anyone has an idea if there is anything I can do with them, apart from using in cooking of course. Any idea of something I can make from them and sell to generate a bit of money?

The weather has been so mild, it feels like spring already, which is bad news for all the fruit trees that started to sprout! Though, we are expecting some snow from Tomorrow. I made about 10 jars of organic orange jam and turned out so delicious. I gave away quite few and everyone loved it. My friend Ina said: It is special jam :) I kept about 5 for myself and once I dress their heads with nice cover, I will take photos of them and post them here.
Here is Kiwi sleeping on my sofa. He likes to sleeps like that! He has become thin and I'm worried about him. I will take him and Luna next week to do the vaccine and I will talk to the vet regarding the noise he makes when he sniffs things or just walk sometimes.
And here is the beautiful Luna :) She has been very good lately and I'm very pleased. :)
I cooked a lot and this quiche is one of the stuff I made. It is crustless and wheat-free.  I posted the recipe in previous post.
And risotto with peas I grew last summer :)

  1. That risotto looks delish!!!!!bet olive garden would like your creations...hello cyrene and best wishes for a great new year...your free spirit is an inspiration to me....last year was a busy year for me and I accomplished a lot on my pursuit for lifestyle similar to yours...but I am still trapped in the corporate lifestyle for now...but that has not kept me from having 13 cats and mostly a vegetarian diet.....my workmates poke fun at me when they head off to the buffet for lunch while I eat my yogurt, apple, and whole grain peanut butter sandwich.......was able to have a spring pond cleaned out on my farm in the Ozarks this summer..it is next to the cabin and is filling up fast...hope to stock it with catfish this spring...best regards...david

    1. Thanks David,
happy new year to you too. You have disappeared for a long time and I'm glad that you are fine and just busy.I hope you will move to your farm full-time soon and start living your dream. I'm sure you will :)

umm, I'm going to try your apple and peanut butter sandwich :)

Pet the kitties for me and hope you will have some frogs in your pond. I'm planning to make a tiny pond for frogs :) not really a pond, just a place for frogs to live
      Kind Regards
