I never buy juices or fizzy drinks but sometimes in this heat I crave some juice or lemonade, so I make mine fresh.
Put a handful of fresh mint leaves in a liquidizer or food processor. Add a bit of water, some sugar and a squeeze of lemon and blend. Strain the mixture through a sieve or strainer. Add an equal amount of fresh lemon juice to the strained mint juice, more sugar if you like, mix well and keep this concentrate in the fridge. Once it is time to refresh your thirsty throat with some lemonade: put some ice cubes in a big glass, add a slice of lemon (optional) a sprig of mint (optional) add your desired amount of the concentrate, then top it off with cold water and enjoy. It is so lemony, so minty, so refreshing. I will share with you another drink I make: non-alcoholic ginger beer, yay. Recommendations: Mint should be organic and preferably from your garden, if you have a garden and you do not grow mint, SHAME ON YOU. Ha ha.
Luna has been so naughty lately and last night I made her stay inside and she didn't let me sleep a wink! she kept banging at my door wanting to go out. I kept waking up, stumbling out of bed half asleep, shouting at her and threatening her with my flop-flips, while she rolled on her back and purred! Her eyes were shiny and she looked like as if she was possessed by a demon! Still, I refused to budge to her manipulation and bad behaviour and kept her grounded till this morning and after breakfast and watching our neighbour the deer, I let her out.
Early this morning one of my neighbours came to visit me! Usually they come in a group of 2 or 3 or even 6! This morning he/she came alone (click on photo to see him/her). I watched him/her from my bedroom window with Luna perched on the windowsill. Luna was so cute, she was mesmerized at this beautiful creature; she kept looking at me and cooing! It was beautiful. Thank you dear deer neighbour for your wonderful visit.
