The Slugs and Me!

 Well, I've been busy picking up slugs and snails :) We have an invasion of them here and as I use organic methods only, I pick them up twice a day, very early in the morning and in the evening; I also set up traps for them and sprinkle coffee grounds on plants. So far. they have eaten most of the green beans young plants :( And moving towards the tomatoes! I'm not giving up yet but I'm really sad. Does anyone out there knows an effective organic way to get rid off them? The land has been neglected for years and there are 1000s of them, without exaggerating! Anyway, I'm learning a lot and in the future when I buy my little farm, I now know what to look for. I also learnt a lot of using organic methods in farming; it is hard but rewarding. 

 On a more cheerful note, I harvested the first of my strawberries and they were tiny but delish. T

 I have been also cooking and these potato fritters are the best. So yummy and easy to make. I love them.
