A Miracle!

Well, I have been hit by a car and it is a miracle that I'm still alive. Apart from broken ribs and lots of bruises and pain, I'm ok. I was walking down a country road (not on the road but the narrow uncomfortable pedestrian path) and this 4x4 speeding car hit me from behind. The driver lost control due to speed and hit me. I flew into the air and landed on the grass. I was taken by surprise, as I didn't see or hear the car. I guess, I was thinking of the tasty organic gelato I was going to buy after feeding the hordes of stray cats. (I was going to feed them on my way to the village)

The sad thing is I can not afford to be sick;  my whole life stops as I have no one to help me. Seeing my vegetable plot withering due to being unable to water it is heartbreaking to me :(

Oh well, I'm glad to be alive and I will try to get better soon to finish the canning marathon :) Dream on Cyrene.  :(

    1. Thanks David, yes I was lucky to avoid more serious injury. Broken ribs are so so painful but it is a temporary pain, unlike breaking your back or neck. I'm grateful to be alive.

Anyway, you can email me to: cyrene.simplicity (at) yahoo dot com

Thanks again for your kind wishes.

  2. Oh no! I missed this post until just now. That sounds so scary -- I can't imagine. I'm so glad you weren't injured more severely, but I do hope those ribs start feeling better soon, so you can get back to normal life.

    1. Thanks dear Anna, It as been very difficult, being stuck in bed unable to even feed yourself is so painful and demoralizing but I'm so grateful that I didnt sustain any serious injury. I'm glad to be alive. I just can not afford to leave my Kiwi and Luna and the chickens alone :)

Now, I feel much better and can get about doing some stuff. My vegetable plot was saved by a torrent of rain; it has been raining for more than a week! Anyway, we had a crappy summer this year, no heat at all!
