This is my friend's house last year at Christmas
Well, well, Father Christmas visited me yesterday and delivered two presents. a little cute sack filled with yummy edible stuff ( I just had a tiny peek, as want to open it on Christmas day. I will photograph it and post it here) and another wrapped gift! I'm so excited and thankful because he even tucked some pocket money in my stockings! I also bought myself a little gift, a flower Corsage from a local Christmas market in the nearby town.
My house smells so good; I set up my miniature Christmas tree, arranged fresh laurel leaves and rosemary around the mantel, filled baskets with pines I picked from the forest, hang my handmade wreath, and filled a basket with fresh organic fruits and nuts.
I baked some wheat-free cookies; they turned out ok, I guess I need to tweak the recipe ('m going to make Anna's suggestion tomorrow :) ; I also baked few fruit and nuts loaves for my neighbors and wrote few Christmas cards. They will be delivered tomorrow.
Christmas day I'm going to light the fireplace early, make my coffee and open my gifts in my favourite pajamas. I'm invited at my friend Stella's home for a great feast and company. I'm so grateful for the little things that make me happy. I wish you all a very pleasant Christmas and even if you are spending it alone, please try to make the most of it and cheer up. I wish I can wipe all the tears in the world and put smiles on every face on this earth, whether it belongs to a human or an animal.
Hugs and purrs from me, Kiwi and Luna :-)

Seasons greetings Cyrene..May the peace of this Holiday season be with you today..heard a country music song that got me to thinking..it spoke of what Jesus and Budha would do if they had met on a road 2 thousand years ago..what would they talk about..would one try to harm the other..I grew up during the Vietnam war and a popular song of that time was "give peace a chance". If only people could just embrace that idea. David
ReplyDeleteSo well said David; here my cup of hot traditional north African drink called Sahlab to that :) It is nonalcoholic and drank in the morning as it is so filling and healthy.
DeleteI believe if Jesus and Budha and Mohammed would meet they would sing to that song: Give peace a chance. And give Love a chance. And give tolerance a chance. And give Compassion a chance. And give Humanity a chance.
Merry Christmas to you and yours. May 2013 bring health, peace, and lots of good work :)
